Faculty and Staff Success recognition process

CAD is instituting a formal process to recognize the accomplishments and awards of its schools, departments and individual faculty, staff and students. This would include RIT and CAD awards, grants awarded, awards or honors in a specific discipline or industry, student scholarships, etc.

If you have an accomplishment that you would like to have recognized, please provide the following information to your school’s office:

  • • Name and Contact information for who received the award
  • • Name of CAD school, office, department, or center
  • • Name of the award
  • • Name of the sponsor
  • • A short description of the award/honor
  • • Image to post with the story (a high resolution image is necessary for feature stories on the CAD website)

The CAD school or department should email the complete information to Lucas Barber, CAD Marketing and Communications Manager lmbpgd@rit.edu. He will post the story out to the appropriate channels including: the CAD website news and school page, CAD social media, and/or the CAD newsletter and University News. read more

Student Success Progress and Plan

The Student Success Committee  has been identifying and meeting with area specialists and professionals to discuss the Goals and Objectives of Dimension A. These professionals include Debbie Kingsbury, Ed Lincoln, Lisa Vasaturo, and Ron Goldberg. They have helped us to discover existing solutions and processes; they have also made suggestions and observations that we will be factoring into our plan, goals, and processes moving forward.

We are working to establish a process to continue to connect with professionals across campus. At first, we used an online survey for each of our goals, but found that one-on-one meetings provide the best feedback. Through these meetings we have found that their expertise, suggestions, and observations need to be factored into our plan, goals, and process moving forward. read more
